the application process
to join, you need to create/use an ooc journal with one backdated ic post and one backdated out-of-character post. the out-of-character posts should include your character's full name, birthdate, age, job, hometown, and current residence. you must one at least 2-3 icons uploaded and a layout complete. we ask that you keep all of your entries locked to friends only and add the mods to your flist. extensions and hiatuses extensions will be granted for those with extenuating circumstances who are unable to update by the end of the month. extensions are granted for a period of seven days. if you need longer than this, please request a hiatus. hiatuses will be granted for any absence of more than a week. if you are unable to be active for longer than a week, please let the mods know so we don't inadvertently remove you. realism we are not here to play realism. some characters will not be able to afford these homes, some will be renting, some will have roommates. put aside any inkling you have toward thinking, yeah right and let people have fun. nsfw content do not share porn gifs/images/videos on the fp. you can post images that hint at sex or are erotic without being pornography. just because people enjoy smut in rp doesn't mean they want to see porn. do not share any pornographic images/gifs/videos privately without ooc/ic consent of the other writer. breaking of this rule will result in a quick removal from the community and likely without warning if we feel the content warrants it. use common sense when posting any kind of content that could use a warning.
activity requirements
you are required to update once a month with something semi-substantial: mixed media post, moodboard, narrative, etc. we expect members to be on the fp commenting posts at the very minimum of three times a week. if we can't find any instances where you have commented an intro, activity or interactive post within 7 days you will be removed. flists must be kept up to date within 7-10 days. there will also be occasional activity checks. if you do not comment these, you will be removed. removal and reapplication per the activity requirements, we do ask that your character be present on the fp at least once a week. activity checks may be posted at the midmonth mark. make sure you're reading all mod notes so you do not risk removal. if you are removed more than twice, acceptance back into the comm will be at the discretion of the mod. can't be active for a week? no problem. drop us a comment and request a hiatus! off-site apps we'd like estate to stay a journal only community. discord, wire, and other messenging apps are banned from ic use. if you already have discord and chat with people ooc, that is fine but we also ask that you pay attention to pbads and new members looking for interaction. no creeps, no incels we know the inclusion of smut implies that creeps could be around. don't be one! all predatory behavior will result in a removal and ban. this includes trying anything non-consensual, pressuring characters into sex with money and gifts (without an agreed upon sugar relationship) or just being a creep overall. if someone isn't interested? move on. if someone chooses someone else for a romantic line or something similar? move on. if someone says ic or ooc they're uncomfortable with something no matter how minor please move on. remember: consent is sexy. |
